Safety Measures during Covid-19

At EgyptaTours, we take the safety of our guests very seriously, especially during global health crises like COVID-19. As a responsible travel agency, we follow all official guidelines set by the World Health Organization (WHO) and apply strict safety protocols during our tours. Group sizes are limited to a maximum of 10 people to maintain proper social distancing. We aim to ensure a one-meter distance between travelers whenever possible. Wearing masks is mandatory for everyone during the tour, and we provide masks to anyone who doesn’t have one. Alcohol-based hand sanitizers are available throughout the tours and beyond. All staff involved in your trip—including tour guides, drivers, and hotel partners—are required to wear masks and gloves at all times. We collaborate only with hotels and Nile cruises that maintain certified hygiene and sanitation procedures to ensure a clean, safe environment. Every member of our service team is subject to daily health checks, including temperature monitoring. If any symptoms arise, they will be immediately separated and not allowed to work until fully recovered. Similarly, guests’ temperatures will be checked before participation, and anyone with a reading above 37°C will be cared for and excluded from the day’s activities. All transportation vehicles are sanitized thoroughly after every use and cleaned deeply every 24 hours. To ensure more space per person, we operate at only 50% vehicle capacity. The same 50% occupancy rule applies to all visited monuments and museums. These measures have been in place since June 2020 and will remain active until further notice. We encourage our guests to contact us for any clarifications or concerns.

Transportation

Safety rules are strictly followed across all modes of transportation—whether by land, air, or water. Guests are expected to wear seat belts at all times when available. When using options such as motorbike taxis, we recommend extra caution. Guests should verify the driver’s license and review the terms of their travel insurance related to motorbike use. We carefully select transportation methods that best suit each destination and evaluate vehicle safety ratings before use. This ensures that every journey is not only efficient but also secure and comfortable.

Accommodations

Our guests’ comfort and safety are always a top priority when choosing accommodations. EgyptaTours only partners with hotels and lodgings that consistently maintain high safety standards and receive excellent reviews. Every selected accommodation must have a second emergency exit and well-trained professional staff. Tour guides assist in overseeing the accommodations and will handle any safety concerns. The goal is to provide a secure, peaceful environment where travelers can relax with confidence throughout their stay.

Bicycles

When engaging in off-road cycling activities, safety gear is mandatory. Both travelers and staff must wear helmets at all times. Travelers are encouraged to bring their own helmets, but we can also provide them upon request. To ensure the overall safety of the experience, guests must inform us of any existing physical or mental health conditions before joining any cycling tour. Tour operators will offer a full safety briefing before the activity begins. If any traveler is advised not to participate due to physical limitations, the decision must be respected by everyone in the group.
