The Meaning of The Name “Naama Bay”

The name “Naama Bay” is said to have originated from a Jewish woman named Naama who helped the Jews during the Israeli occupation of Sinai. Previously, it was known as “Wadi Al-At” or “Ghalib Al-At”, with some attributing the name to the Arabic word for “the giver” (Al-At) or to the tribe of Bani Atia. The name was later changed to Naama Bay by the Israelis.
