Giza-Pyramids-Itinerary After having your romantic breakfast at your fancy hotel. Our representative will be waiting for you and your partner to drive you to visit the Pyramids Complex in Giza, close to Cairo. The ancient structures are one of the Seven Wonders of the World and offer a unique glimpse into history. On the one hand, a tour of the pyramids is an unforgettable experience and will leave you with memories that will last a lifetime. On the other hand, be sure to pack sunscreen, hats, and comfortable walking shoes. The complex consists of:

    The Pyramid of Khufu:

The largest and oldest of the Giza Pyramids. Also called the Great Pyramid. Khafre’s Pyramid is one of the most iconic ancient monuments in Egypt. The pharaoh who built it, Khafre, was the son of Menkaure and grandson of Khufu – two of the most famous pharaohs in ancient Egyptian history. Khafre’s Pyramid is located at Giza, on the west bank of the Nile River, just south of Cairo. It was erected between 2558 BC and 2532 BC, during the Fourth Dynasty of ancient Egypt. The pyramid is made of limestone blocks and stands 224 feet (68 meters) high.

    The Pyramid of Khafre:

The second largest pyramid at Giza. The pharaohs who built it between 2550 and 2494 BC were some of the earliest rulers in history. The pyramid is located at Giza, just outside Cairo. It is made up of more than 2,500 blocks of solid granite, and its height is estimated to be 456 feet (139 meters).

    The Pyramid of Menkaure:

The smallest and youngest of the three pyramids. The pyramid of Menkaure is the most well-preserved and largest of the three pyramids at Giza. It is said to have been built by Menkaure, a pharaoh of the Fourth Dynasty in about 2650 BC. The outer casing of the pyramid was constructed from solid limestone blocks that were then covered with a layer of sandstone. The core of the pyramid was made up of more than 2 million blocks of stone weighing an estimated total of more than 116 million tonnes.

    The Great Sphinx:

A limestone statue with the body of a lion and the head of a man. also known as the Giza Pyramid, is one of the most famous and well-known pyramids in history. It was built by Pharaoh chephren over 4,500 years ago and is located on the Giza Plateau in Egypt. The pyramid is made up of several layers of limestone blocks that are carefully stacked on top of each other. Its height is approximately 146 feet and it weighs an estimated 2.5 million pounds.

    Saqqara Step Pyramid:

The Saqqara Step Pyramid is a majestic structure located in Saqqara, Egypt. Built over 4,500 years ago, it is the oldest of the Giza pyramids and one of the most impressive examples of ancient Egyptian engineering. Despite its age, the pyramid still stands as an impressive testament to ancient Egyptian construction techniques.

    Memphis City:

Memphis is located in Giza on the west bank of the Nile Delta. Memphis has been inhabited for over 6,000 years and was known as Thebes in ancient times. Memphis was founded by Menes, the first king of Upper Egypt, in the early 3rd millennium BC. It became a major center of culture and trade during antiquity and remained so under Roman and Byzantine rule. Under Muhammad Ali Pasha, who ruled from 1805 to 1849, Memphis became an important center of Islamic learning. Right after the Pyramid’s tour, we will drive you to the airport to catch your flight to Aswan. We designed you a trip to Aswan, where you can enjoy a scenic honeymoon tour through the ancient city. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is full of ancient temples and tombs, and it’s easy to get lost in its winding streets. Plus, the surrounding area is home to some of Egypt’s best beaches.

    Abu Simbel Temple :

The Abu Simbel Temple, located in southern Egypt near the border with Sudan, is one of the most iconic monuments of ancient Egypt. Built by Pharaoh Ramses II in the 13th century BCE, this massive temple complex was carved directly into the mountainside and is dedicated to the gods Amun, Ra-Horakhty, and Ptah, as well as Ramses himself. The site is famous for its two main temples: the larger one honoring Ramses II and a smaller temple dedicated to his wife, Queen Nefertari. The entrance to the Great Temple is dominated by four colossal statues of Ramses II, each standing about 20 meters high. Inside, intricately decorated chambers feature scenes of the pharaoh’s military victories and his divine status. After that, you will be heading to the train to go to Luxor and meet our representative who will facilitate the check-in in the hotel at Luxor.

Frequently Asked & Questions

The most comfortable months are October to April. Days are warm, evenings are cooler, and sightseeing is much easier.

December to February: Mild weather, popular with visitors, higher demand.
March to April and October to November: Great balance of good weather and fewer crowds.
May to September: Hot, especially in Luxor and Aswan. You can still go, but plan early morning tours and choose hotels with strong air conditioning and pools.
Hurghada is warm year-round, which helps if you plan to spend more time by the sea.

Most honeymoon packages mix domestic flights, a Nile cruise, and private transfers.

Common options:

Cairo to Luxor or Aswan: Short domestic flight, about 1 hour.
Luxor and Aswan: Nile cruise for 3 to 4 nights or a few hours by road.
Aswan to Hurghada: Usually a private car, about 6 to 7 hours, or flight via Cairo.
Hurghada to Cairo: 1-hour flight or about 5 hours by road.
For a honeymoon, most couples choose flights and cruises to save time and stay comfortable.

A Nile cruise can be very romantic if you pick the right boat and cabin type.

Why couples like it:

Constant Nile views from your cabin or deck.
Guided visits to temples included, so planning is easy.
Meals are usually included, which keeps costs clear.
If you want more privacy, choose:

A smaller, boutique cruise boat.
An upper-deck cabin with a balcony, if available.
Some couples split it: cruise between Luxor and Aswan, then stay in a luxury hotel at either end for extra privacy and spa time.

Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, and Hurghada are well-established tourist areas with a strong security presence.

To feel comfortable:

Book with a trusted tour operator or hotel.
Use official or pre-booked transfers.
Follow local guidance and hotel advice on where to go and when.
Keep valuables in your hotel safe and use common travel sense in busy places.
Most couples report feeling safe, especially on guided tours and in resort areas like Hurghada.

A few highlights that work well for honeymoons:

Cairo: Private visit to the Pyramids area, sunset or evening Nile dinner cruise, rooftop drinks with a view.
Luxor: Sunrise hot-air balloon over the West Bank, evening visit to Luxor Temple, leisurely horse-drawn carriage ride along the corniche.
Aswan: Motorboat to Philae Temple, a peaceful felucca sail at sunset, visit to a Nubian village with time by the river.
Hurghada: Private boat trip, couples spa treatment, candlelit beachfront dinner at your resort.
Tell your planner you are on honeymoon so they can add small touches like flower decorations or a cake.

Many nationalities, including US, UK, and EU citizens, can get an e-visa in advance or a visa on arrival at Cairo Airport.

In general:

The tourist visa is usually valid for 30 days.
The e-visa website is the safest official option.
You need at least 6 months remaining on your passport from your arrival date.
Check current rules for your passport country before you book, since visa policies can change.

Aim for light, breathable clothing that respects local customs yet keeps you comfortable.

Good to pack:

Loose pants, skirts, and dresses that cover knees for temple visits.
A light scarf or shawl for women in more conservative areas or religious sites.
Comfortable walking shoes or sandals with good support.
Swimwear and cover-ups for Hurghada resorts.
Sun protection: hat, sunglasses, and high SPF sunscreen.
For evenings, smart-casual outfits work well at nicer restaurants and on cruises.

It can feel very relaxing if you pace it well. The key is to build in downtime.

Helpful tips:

Keep early-morning tours to temple days, then leave afternoons free to rest by the pool.
Avoid packing every day with activities. Choose a few highlights instead.
Give yourselves at least 3 unhurried days in Hurghada at the end so you finish with pure beach time.
Tell your planner that comfort and romance matter more than seeing every single site. A slightly slower trip often feels richer and more memorable.
