Arrive in Aswan, move to Sun Goddess Nile Cruise and check in. After lunch, gather to visit the High Dam – the Old Dam – dinner and overnight in Aswan, and sail to Kom Ombo. The High Dam The High Dam, a huge dam in Egypt, was built in the south of Aswan with the help of the Soviet Union. The High Dam allows the storage of an additional 8 billion m3 of water, which will be used in land reclamation for agriculture and converting the irrigation of the slums into permanent irrigation. Gamal Abdel Nasser laid the foundation stone of the dam on January 9, 1960, and Egypt celebrated its implementation in January 1971. The cost of the project, which resulted in it, was about 415 million Egyptian pounds. It is considered one of the largest projects that have been implemented in Egypt in the modern era, and it played a major role in industrial development and provided Egypt with water at the time of drought in Africa. All our packages and tours of Egypt do not include entrance fees to special archaeological sites such as visiting inside the pyramids, the Museum where the Solar Boat is located in the pyramid area, or to enter the Tutankhamun tomb in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor.
