You’ll have the chance to visit some of the most famous ancient and modern attractions across the whole country, and your professional tour guide will be with you the whole time to explain everything.  After breakfast at the hotel, your tour starts with a visit to:

The Giza pyramids are honestly a place you just have to see when you come to Egypt. The site is absolutely huge and full of history. There you’ll find the Great Pyramid of King Khufu, along with the other two pyramids belonging to Khafre and Menkaure. There are also smaller pyramids around the area which are also interesting to check out if you have some time.

The Great Pyramid:

The Great Pyramid of Khufu (dated around 2589–2566 BC) is the only one of the ancient Seven Wonders of the World that is still standing today. It was built around 2850 BC and held the title of the tallest structure on earth for about 3,800 years, reaching a height of about 138.5 meters (454 feet). Around 2.3 million limestone blocks were used, and the pyramid is aligned perfectly with the four cardinal directions  which is honestly mind-blowing.

The Great Sphinx:

Next, you’ll see the Sphinx, one of the most iconic symbols of Egypt. It has the body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh, believed to represent King Khafre (around 2558–2532 BC). There are so many myths and stories about the Sphinx, and you’ll definitely enjoy hearing them. It’s also a great place for unforgettable photos.

The Valley Temple:

You’ll then visit the Valley Temple, where ancient Egyptians carried out important rituals including mummification and purification of the royal bodies during the 4th dynasty. The site is very well-preserved and offers a real look into how ancient rituals were performed.

The Grand Egyptian Museum:

After that, you’ll head to the Grand Egyptian Museum, one of the most impressive museums in the world. It covers around 490,000 square meters and is designed so you can see the pyramids from inside the museum. It holds more than 100,000 artifacts, and for the first time, all of Tutankhamun’s treasures (over 5,000 items) are displayed together. Highlights include the hanging obelisk, the huge statue of Ramses II, and the great staircase full of royal pieces. The museum also includes one of the biggest restoration centers in the Middle East.

The Egyptian Museum (Downtown Cairo):

After lunch, you’ll head to the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir. It’s one of the most important archaeological museums in the world, with artifacts that go back more than 7,000 years. Right after that, you’ll start exploring some of the most important sites on Luxor’s east bank, including:

Karnak Temple Complex

Karnak is honestly one of the most fascinating ancient places in Egypt. It’s located on the east bank of Luxor and was built over a huge time period, between around 1971 BC and 30 BC. This place was mainly a sacred space where the Pharaoh communicated with the god Amun, who was believed to be the ruler of the universe. There are so many temples inside the complex, as well as massive columns, chapels, statues, and hieroglyphs everywhere. Pharaohs like Amenhotep III and Ramses the Great contributed to it, and even Alexander the Great was crowned there. The famous Opet Festival also took place at this site. The best part? Visiting at night. The lighting along with the sunset gives the temple two completely different atmospheres and it’s honestly breathtaking. Some of the most famous pharaohs were buried here, including Ramses II, Ramses VI, Seti I, and of course the young king Tutankhamun. While exploring the tombs, you’ll see detailed inscriptions and colorful paintings that tell stories about ancient Egyptian beliefs, the afterlife, and how the pharaohs viewed themselves.

Colossi of Memnon

Next, you’ll have a quick photo stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two huge statues (around 18 meters high) built to guard the mortuary temple of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. The High Dam is considered one of modern Egypt’s biggest achievements. It completely changed life in the country—controlling the Nile flood, improving agriculture, and supplying electricity. It was built during the presidency of Gamal Abdel Nasser, and the project received support and funding from UNESCO. The site itself isn’t ancient, but its impact on Egypt is huge.

Philae Temple:

Next, you’ll visit the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to Goddess Isis—the goddess of love, magic, and motherhood.
