Day-01 Sound and light show Giza Pyramids
Representatives will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Giza complex at the appointed time to attend the exceptional sound and light show that is being performed at the Giza complex. The show begins with the story of the Sphinx, the reason for its construction, and why it was built in the form of a lion’s body and a human head, and what caused the fracture in its nose, and the story of building the three eternal pyramids, Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, and the method of transporting the huge stones to build them. Cancellation Policy

We don’t charge a cancellation fee for tours canceled for “force majeure” reasons, such as volcanoes, earthquakes, or other reasons. If the cancellation is due to personal or business reasons and we have already incurred costs on your behalf, these costs will be transferred to you.

Optional Entry Tickets

All our packages and tours of Egypt do not include entrance fees to special archaeological sites such as visiting inside the pyramids, the Museum where the Solar Boat is located in the pyramid area, or to enter the Tutankhamun tomb in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor.
If you wish to visit one or all of these areas, please contact us by email as soon as possible, so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

The Giza Pyramids Sound and Light Show is an evening performance that uses colored lights, music, and narration to tell the story of ancient Egypt.

The show is projected onto the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, the Pyramid of Menkaure, and the Sphinx. The narration covers pharaohs, pyramid construction, and key moments in Egyptian history, all timed with lighting and sound effects.

It is a seated outdoor show, not a walk-through experience, so you watch from a fixed viewing area facing the pyramids and Sphinx.

The show takes place on the Giza Plateau, at the Pyramids of Giza, on the western edge of Cairo. The entrance is near the Sphinx, not the main daytime pyramid gate.

Most visitors reach it by:

Taxi or ride-hailing apps (from central Cairo or Giza)
Private tour that includes hotel pickup and drop-off
Hotel car service if your hotel offers that option
Traffic in Cairo can be heavy, so plan extra time, especially for the first show of the evening.

The show usually runs in the evening, often in two or three rounds, depending on the season and demand. Typical start times range from about 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm, with earlier shows in winter and later shows in summer.

Each performance lasts about 50 to 60 minutes.

Because times can change with the season and holidays, always check the current schedule through your hotel, a local tour operator, or the official show operator before you go.

The main narration is usually in English during the most popular show of the night. On other days or time slots, it may run in Arabic, Spanish, French, German, Italian, or other languages.

If there are not enough people for a specific language, the operator may provide headsets with recorded translation. Ask when booking or at the ticket office which language will run at your chosen time.

The show is fully outdoors, so plan for the evening weather.

In winter, it can get quite chilly and windy on the plateau, so bring a jacket or warm layer.
In summer, evenings are warm but often more comfortable than daytime, so light clothing is usually fine.
Useful things to bring:

A light jacket or shawl
Comfortable shoes, since you may walk a bit on uneven ground
A bottle of water
A camera or smartphone for photos (flash is usually not needed

Most visitors of all ages can attend since you sit for the show. Children often enjoy the lights and music, especially if they have some context about ancient Egypt beforehand.

For seniors or visitors with limited mobility:

The seating area is relatively close to the entrance, but there can be a short walk on uneven surfaces.
Ask staff or your tour company about access options or closer drop-off points.
There are seats rather than steps, so many older visitors find it comfortable, as long as they can manage the short walk.

Photography for personal use is usually allowed, and many people take photos or short clips. Use a steady hand or a simple tripod if allowed, since it is low light.

Some operators restrict professional gear like large tripods or commercial filming without permission. If you plan to shoot professional content, check the rules in advance.

Many travelers enjoy seeing the pyramids twice, once in daylight and once at night. The mood is very different.
