Day-01 Fly From Port Ghalib To Cairo
You will be picked up from your hotel in Port Ghalib and transferred to the airport for your flight to Cairo. After arriving in Cairo, your private guide will welcome you at the airport and begin your tour to explore some of the city’s most famous landmarks and historical attractions.
Giza Pyramids Complex:
The complex includes the three famous pyramids, six smaller pyramids, the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple. These amazing monuments were built during the Fourth Dynasty of ancient Egypt, more than four thousand years ago and remain some of the country’s most important historical sites.
The Great Pyramids:
The Great Pyramid is the oldest and biggest pyramid on the Giza Plateau. It is also the only surviving wonder of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Built thousands of years ago, the pyramid reaches an impressive height and was made using millions of huge stone blocks. Historians believe it took many years of hard work to complete, showing the amazing skills of ancient Egyptian builders.
The Great Sphinx:
The Great Sphinx is one of the most famous and impressive statues in the world. It stretches for a long distance and stands tall near the pyramids of Giza. The Abu Simbel Temples are among the most impressive monuments in Egypt. Built during the reign of King Ramses II, these amazing temples show the beauty and skill of ancient Egyptian architecture. The larger temple was dedicated to Ramses II, while the smaller one was built in honor of his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari. Valley of The Kings:
Picture a path running through the heart of a mountain, filled with incredible treasures and colorful wall paintings inside large ancient tombs. These tombs date back to Egypt’s New Kingdom period and include many royal burial sites linked to famous pharaohs such as Tutankhamun, Ramses VI, Seti I and others.
Hatshepsut Temple:
The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built around 1479–1458 BC, is one of the most well-preserved ancient monuments in the world. It is considered a remarkable example of ancient Egyptian architecture and shows the skill and creativity of its builders.
Colossi of Memnon:
Over time, the Colossi of Memnon have been moved, damaged and rebuilt more than once. These huge statues were made in the image of Pharaoh Amenhotep III (1386–1350 BC) and were transported a long distance to Luxor where they once stood as guardians of ancient Thebes. Later, you will enjoy lunch on a peaceful island that can only be reached by boat. After that, your tour will continue as you travel back from Port Ghalib to your next destination.
Karnak Temple:
The spiritual atmosphere of ancient Egypt can still be felt throughout every temple, monument and area of the huge Karnak Temple Complex. Built more than 3,500 years ago, it is one of the largest and oldest open air museums in the world. All our packages and tours of Egypt do not include entrance fees to special archaeological sites such as visiting inside the pyramids, the Museum where the Solar Boat is located in the pyramid area, or to enter the Tutankhamun tomb in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor.
