    The Giza Pyramids Complex:

    The Giza complex was constructed during the Fourth Dynasty around 2600 BC. This remarkable site reflects the great skills and achievements of one of the most powerful ancient civilizations in the world.

    The Great Pyramid:

    The Great Pyramid of King Khufu (2609 BC – 2584 BC) is one of the most impressive examples of ancient Egyptian architecture and artistic mastery. It was completed around 2570 BC under the supervision of the chief architect Hemiunu. The pyramid reaches a height of 138.5 meters (454.4 feet) and includes several internal chambers, most notably the King’s Chamber showing the advanced engineering abilities of the ancient Egyptians.

    The Great Sphinx: 

    The Sphinx is a magnificent statue of King Chephren (2558–2532 BC), with a lion’s body and the king’s face. It measures 73 meters (240 ft) in length, 20 meters (66 ft) in height, and 19 meters (62 ft) in width. The Sphinx also includes Thutmose IV’s Dream Stele which was added in 1401 BC.

    The Valley Temple: 

    The Valley Temple is an important monument that gives insight into the religious and funerary traditions of ancient Egypt. It is very well preserved and was the site where the “Opening of the Mouth” ceremony was performed, a key part of the mummification process.

    The Grand Egyptian Museum: 

    The Grand Egyptian Museum, located near the Giza Pyramids, is a vast modern museum covering nearly 490,000 square meters. It presents 5,000 years of history and showcases the art, culture and religious beliefs of ancient Egypt. The museum combines ancient treasures with modern design, research labs and educational spaces. Visitors can admire treasures such as the Hanging Obelisk, the 11 meter colossus of Ramses II, and more than 5,000 artifacts from Tutankhamun.

    Saqqara Step Pyramid: 

    After lunch, visit the Saqqara Step Pyramid, one of the most important architectural achievements of ancient Egypt. Built between 2670–2650 BC for Pharaoh Djoser, it has six steps and reaches 63 meters tall. This pyramid played a major role in shaping the development of ancient Egyptian civilization.

    The Unfinished Obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut (1508–1458 BC) is a remarkable structure that was meant to reach the sky to honor her legacy. It is considered the largest obelisk in the world but it was broken during construction and never completed.

    Philae Temple: 

    The beautiful Philae Temple is located on Agilkia Island and was a worship center dedicated to the goddess of motherhood. Built during the Ptolemaic period between 380–362 BC, it is one of the last temples constructed in Egypt and tells the legendary story of Osiris. Visiting the valley offers an amazing insight into the funerary practices, beliefs and rituals of ancient Egypt.

    Hatshepsut Temple: 

    The magnificent Hatshepsut Temple, built in 1479 BC, is a beautiful masterpiece of ancient Egyptian architecture. Designed by Senenmut, her chief overseer, the temple was built to honor Queen Hatshepsut (1508–1458 BC) and celebrate her achievements. It is dedicated to Amun, the creator god, whom the queen served as high priestess making the temple both a spiritual and artistic wonder.

    Colossi of Memnon: 

    The Colossi of Memnon are two giant seated statues of Amenhotep III which were carved in 1350 BC to guard his now lost temple. Each statue is about 18 meters tall, weighs 720 tons and has many images and over 107 inscriptions from the Roman era written in Latin and Greek providing valuable historical information.

    Karnak Temple:

    Al Muizz Street:

    Khan El Khalili Bazaar: 

    Visit Khan El Khalili Bazaar, built between 1382 and 1389 AD during the Mamluk era. It is Cairo’s most famous shopping center offering a wide range of goods, artifacts and souvenirs that reflect Egypt’s rich culture and history.
