    The Temple of Hatshepsut is an amazing example of ancient Egyptian architecture. Built to honor Queen Hatshepsut, it was designed by her chief architect Senenmut, with terraces, columns and sanctuaries dedicated to the god Amun.

    Colossi of Memnon

    Two colossal seated statues of Amenhotep III (1391–1353 BC) that once guarded his grand mortuary temple. Standing 18 meters tall, these statues are adorned with Roman era inscriptions in Latin and Greek.

    The Hanging Church is one of Egypt’s most important Christian monuments. Built in the 3rd century on top of the southern Roman gate of the Babylon Fortress, it rises six meters above the ground, earning its name from the staircase that leads up to it.

    Majestic Jewish monument dating back to 882 AD. Originally a church, it was converted into a synagogue and is believed to be the place where the prophet Moses was discovered as a baby along the Nile. 

    National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC)

    Located in historic Fustat, it showcases Egypt’s cultural and historical treasures, including a remarkable hall of mummies and over 50,000 artifacts spanning the country’s long history, the first museum of its kind in the Arab world, opened in 2020.  .
