    The Great Pyramid:

The Great Pyramid of King Khufu (2609–2584 B.C.) is an incredible structure that seems to reach the sky. It was built around 2570 B.C. by about 400,000 skilled workers over 15 years. They used 2.3 million limestone blocks weighing a total of 6 million tons. Ramps helped them raise the pyramid to a height of 138.5 meters (454.4 ft). The pyramid was designed by Khufu’s main architect, Hemiunu. Inside, the King’s Chamber, the Queen’s Chamber, and the Big Void show the advanced building skills behind the only surviving wonder of the ancient world.

    The Great Sphinx:

The Great Sphinx of Giza is a huge statue with the body of a lion and the face of Pharaoh Khafre 2558–2532 B.C. It is 73 meters (240 ft) long, 20 meters (66 ft) high, and 19 meters (62 ft) wide. The Sphinx is a symbol of protection for Egypt’s great monuments. The story of Pharaoh Thutmose IV and the Dream Stele was added in 1401 B.C.

    The Valley Temple:

The Valley Temple was built by King Khafre for the 4th Dynasty. It was used for purification and for performing the Opening of the Mouth ceremony, which was part of the mummification process.

    The Grand Egyptian Museum.

The Grand Egyptian Museum is a wonderful place full of amazing archaeological treasures. It is near the Pyramids of Giza and covers about 490,000 square meters. The museum shows 5,000 years of history, highlighting the art, religion, and legacy of ancient Egypt. It connects ancient Egypt with modern design through its architecture and storytelling. GEM has one of the largest conservation centers in the Middle East, along with research and learning facilities to preserve Egypt’s heritage. Visitors can see treasures like the Hanging Obelisk, the 11-meter statue of Ramses II, and over 5,000 items from Tutankhamun. Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa:

The Catacombs, also called the Mounds of Shards, are an amazing ancient site and one of the wonders of the Middle Ages. This large burial place was made between the 2nd and 4th centuries AD. It shows a mix of Egyptian and Greek art and has a special room called the Hall of Caracalla, built in 215 AD.

    Pompey's Pillar:

In Alexandria, there is a famous Roman column called Pompey’s Pillar. It is one of the biggest single-piece columns ever made. It stands on the east side of the Serapeum of Alexandria and was built to honor the Roman Emperor Diocletian. It was built between 298–302 AD and is 28 meters tall. Some say the top of the column may hold the remains of General Pompey.

    Qaitbay Citadel:

The amazing Qaitbay Citadel is an old fortress on the Mediterranean coast. It was built during the Mamluk period between 1477 and 1479 AD. The citadel was built on the same site where the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, once stood. The lighthouse was destroyed by an earthquake in the 11th century, and some of its stones were used to build the citadel.

    Alexandria Library:

The new Library of Alexandria opened to the world in 2002 to honor the old Library of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It has many halls filled with beautiful art, historical objects, 8 million books, and many rare books from different periods of Egypt’s history.

If it had been completed, it would have been the largest obelisk in Egypt, with a height of 41.75 meters (137 feet) and a weight of about 1,100 tons.

    Philae Temple

The beautiful Philae Temple was built at the end of ancient Egyptian times. It shows the architectural style of the Ptolemaic era 380–362 BC and was a temple for worshipping Isis, the goddess of motherhood.
