    The Great Sphinx is a large limestone statue of a mythical creature with a human head and a lion's body. It is believed to have been carved during the reign of King Khafre. The original name of the Sphinx is unknown, and it was named after the Greek mythical creature in classical antiquity. 

    Djoser Step Pyramid:

    Saqqara, part of the Memphis necropolis, contains numerous Egyptian antiquities, including the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the oldest large-scale stone construction in history. It also features pyramids belonging to kings of the 5th and 6th dynasties, such as King Unas, who was the first to inscribe his burial chamber with Pyramid Texts.

It was named this due to the abundance of pottery shards and fragments found there.
